The Stallion U 550 lacrosse head is an updated model of the Stallion U 500. STX enhanced the throat design to have more strength and durability while also improving the overall grip. This design is also 5% lighter than the NFHS model while maintaining the same level of performance.
On average this head weighs in at 5.0oz and is equipped with STX’s classic C-Channel technology for extra durability. One feature that stands out is its matte finish in select areas on the head; STX also added a graphic image of a Stallion on top of the head which in turn gives it a unique look.
Although this head was originally designed for an offensive midfielder, the Stallion U 550 is also very popular amongst long pole midfielders as well. The strength to weight ratio is amazing making this perfect for anyone who wants to score goals and inflict a lot of damage on their opponent.
